IOHA

Brief

Create three posters for the  IOHA (UJ Institutional office for HIV AND AIDS ), Based on these  three topics : Risky student behaviour , Diversity Issues and HIV & Relationships.

Concept

My approach was to take these three topics and use them to inform UJ on basic ways to prevent and be aware of HIV/AIDS. After research, I narrowed it down to these three main points:
- That the Pill (Pep) can save them (72hrs after exposure)

- If they find out what their status is(positive/negative) they can make take preventative spreading action.
- To not be naive in a relationship, get to know your partner.

I then took these three points and visually represented them through basic symbols of a pill, clock and cell phone. My target audience is all students who go to UJ. Male & female (all genders) Roughly ages between “18 - 25”. The 3 symbols I chose will speak to this age group.

The linking theme throughout all 3 topics is Time, and how time is running out, students must take action, control and responsibility for their lives and future. My posters will remind them of three main things:

1) Risky student behaviour - I show how there is TIME to save yourself after being naughty/ risky. (pep pill).

2) Diversity Issues - I show that most people of all sexual agendas don’t know there “status” (- or +) and TIMES ticking so find out and take action (stop spreading it).

3) HIV/AIDS and Relationships – I Show how you should take the TIME to know your partner, and don’t be naive.
